Evening Boat League Heat 1
First heat in the Bristol Water Fisheries Boat League. Floating line only, international rules apply. Ten events are held throughout the season with each individuals top 5 scores counting towards their overall result.
League entry cost: £10.00pp
Heat entry: £25.00 pp
Heat entry includes 4 hours of fishing from a boat on a catch and release basis. A meal at a local pub after each heat is included in the entry fee. A minimum of 48 hours notice is required should you wish to fish a heat. Late notice of entry into a heat may mean that a spot for the heat is not available. This event is run in collaboration between B.R.F.F.A and Bristol Water Fisheries. Please note that members of the B.R.F.F.A run this league on behalf of Bristol Water on a voluntary basis and appreciate as much advanced notice of heat attendance as possible.

We want to continue improving the pathway into our sport and so for the 2019 season we will be offering all participants of our Bristol Water Mentoring Scheme a reduction in the cost of entry into our Evening League! If you've taken part in the Bristol Water mentoring scheme, in 2018 or 2019, we are reducing the cost of your first two Evening League heat entries to just £15.00 each!
We believe that the laid back approach to the evening league offers a great opportunity for newcomers of the sport to meet and fish with experienced anglers who know our waters. The events are, as the name suggests, typically held towards the evening throughout the season which is often a prime time to get out fishing. This will help give you the best chance of success when hitting the water and provide a platform to meet new anglers who can share their knowledge.
Fishing is typically for around 4 hours and the event is very much 'catch and release' focused. Heats are held alternately between Chew Valley and Blagdon lake and typically are held on a Wednesday every other week or thereabouts.
