Season ticket opening day at Blagodn today. Slightly more challenging than Chew and Barrows by the looks of it although a scattering of fish have been caught all around the lake.
Some respectable bags have been taken from Butcombe this morning although other areas are proving slightly more challenging.
It will be interesting to see if the fish have congregated around the deeper water between Rainbow and Rugmoor again like they did early last season. This area held fish for a considerable time early season and was out of reach for most bank anglers. Role on Thursday!
In separate news, yet another fantastic fish was caught from Chew today. An impeccable brown trout that weighed 9lb 9oz and was taken on a buzzer imitation from the bank at Herons Green.
A reminder that Blagdon will be closed tomorrow and re opens for official opening day on Thursday.
